I Can’t Keep Up with All the New Tax Laws
February 19, 2012
I can not keep up with all the new tax laws. My financial circumstances have traditionally been pretty simple, but that changed last year after I got laid off and started freelancing from home. That meant a whole new situation in terms of regulations and records and paperwork. I can no longer file a simple tax return electronically in less than ten minutes than I used to. Fortunately, I found this website that explains the new tax laws in plain English and how they apply to me personally in very simple terms. Now that I have read over the paragraphs here a few times, I think I am actually getting a handle on what all I need to do to take care of all of this. It should not be an issue after all, and I should be able to do my taxes in one afternoon so I can get back to freelancing.
I am wondering about the new tax laws, particularly if there are any that will affect me that I should worry about. I don’t think that I should be the one spending a lot of money when the rich people aren’t even paying taxes. I feel like there is so much money to go around, yet the poor people keep getting poorer. If there are any tax laws that are new, it should be the ones that help the poor people like me. I just hate it when I can’t even have a say in the government because I don’t have enough money to buy them out. I am so insulted by everything that has been going on. I feel like it is not fair that we all have to pay taxes, but only the rich have the most impact. I want to influence my own government as well. I want to make a difference.
