Belmopan Accommodations: Allowing travelers to Explore the Most Interesting Parts of Belmopan

January 30, 2010

A metropolis gets demolished by a tempest yet the nature of the inhabitants could not be overwhelmed – they decided to rebuild the city and a new capital as well. A tale like this would make a good book…and it would be based on a true set of events of what happened about forty years ago in a place just south of Mexico. This is the reality the capital of Belize – Belmopan.

Belize City, the former capital city located along the coast, was wrecked by a category 5 storm in 1961 so a new capital city was created further inland and it was named Belmopan. There is a growing number of people that have decided that this city is worth visiting or, like me, have decided to make it a new home. And there were a host of Belmopan hotels that helped me tour this exciting city in an effortless manner.

Those visiting Belmopan often visit the bi-weekly marketplace, the Parliment building and the Guanacaste Park.  Luckily, there are hotels in Belmopan near all of these sites.

If you are one of those who love adventure, you can find a host of Belmopan hotels located in the Jungle of Belize. These Belmopan hotels specialize in high quality adventure travel for family, small groups, and free-spirited individuals. For those on a budget there are low-budget hotels or economical bread and breakfast that can meet your needs.

Lodgings in Belmopan offer many amenities and since there many hotels they often compete on providing better service. They offer facilities like Internet in the rooms, wireless, television, tea and coffee making facilities, telephone and a  host of other facilities, making the stay of their guests truly memorable and pleasurable.

Since Belmopan is centrally located consider making a Belmopan hotel a “base of operations” that you can use to visit to rest of the country.
